Q.The person is saying that their mother lives in the United Kingdom (U.K.) and they would like to perform hajj for her, what are the conditions?

A.The shaykh said if she cannot perform hajj herself, meaning she cannot make it to Makkah then it is permissible for you to perform hajj on her behalf. What is upon you is to protect and preserve the rites of hajj and you should not perform anything which invalidates the hajj. You should be diligent in performing the worships which are present during the pilgrimage and when you first make the announcement for hajj then you should say: O Allaah! I am answering your call on behalf of my mother. You can say her name or you can say on behalf of my mother.
