Advise to the Muslims in Britain, in Light of Recent Events.
Shaykhunaa, Al-Waalid
Hasan Abdul-Wahhaab Marzouq Al-Bannaa (May Allah preserve him and his family upon good).

This is a portion from my conversation today with shaykhunaa (our shaykh), waalidunaa (our father) in Misr (Egypt), Hasan Abdul-Wahhaab Marzouq Al-Bannaa (May Allah preserve him and his family upon good).

I asked shaykhunaa a question pertaining to the recent unfortunate events which have occured in London, UK; in regards to two individuals killing an unarmed British soldier in broad daylight in the streets of London. Two individuals whom the media says are Muslims, and Allah is the Most Knowledgeable of all affairs. I informed shaykhunaa that one of the individuals is captured on video justifying what was done by using quotes from Allah’s book such as, “eye for eye and tooth for tooth”. I asked shaykhunaa, what is our position and what should we do in regards to this unfortunate event?
Shaykhunaa, Hasan Al-Bannaa (may Allah preserve him upon good) said, it is a must that the believers unite in opposition to this dreadful event. The believers must come together and work together in opposing and rejecting this corrupt methodology.

These individuals speak in regards to this and that. They base their speech upon this and that, however, they do not understand Islaam correctly and are ignorant about correct Islaam. For people say the religion of Islaam is this or is that. Claims of the speech must be confirmed from what has been documented. It is obligatory that one affirms his speech upon that which is correct. The one who does this (speaking without true understanding) commits an error which is in opposition of the foundation of the religion and its branches. They hold on to these ideologies by saying this and that. They intend to harm the Salafis with this. They are in clear opposition of the foundation of the religion. They strive to harm and bring shame to the religion.
Shaykhunaa added that our brothers in Britain are to be aided and shown support; he mentioned Hasan As-Soomaali and Abu Khadeejah. They are aware of what is taking place.

This conversation occurred on May 30th, 2013; in correspondence to the Islaamic calendar date of 20th of Rajab, 1434.

what is your advice for a female who disobeys her husband when he calls her to the bed and she does not have any reason which prevents her from obeying him?

Q.The questioner is asking, what is your advice for a female who disobeys her husband when he calls her to the bed and she does not have any reason which prevents her from obeying him?

A.The shaykh (haafidhahullaah) said, he mentioned the hadeeth where the Prophet (Sallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, any female whose husband calls her to the bed for relations and she disobeys him, then she is in the anger of Allaah. Allaah (azza wa jall) is angry with her until her husband is pleased with her. In another narration it is mentioned that the angels curse her. So the shaykh (haafidhahullaah) said the wife’s obedience to the husband is something major. It is a major affair, so if the female is not in a state that prevents her husband from approaching her then it is upon her to obey him and to respond and to allow him to perform that which Allaah (tabaarak ta wa ta’ala) has made permissible and if she does not do so then Allaah (azza wa jall) would be angry with her.

Is it permissible for a female to have separate clothing for prayer?

Q.Is it permissible for a female to have separate clothing for prayer?

A.The shaykh (haafidhahullaah) said if the female feels that her normal everyday clothing possibly becomes dirty with something of najasaat (something of dirt, or things that prevent purity) then yes she should have a separate form of clothing for prayer. The shaykh said that a person who prays it is mandatory upon them to wear the best of their clothing. So if a female, at the time of prayer, she feels that there is something, some spots on her clothing that she is not sure where they came from, or there may be some blood left over from her menses or the likes, then yes the female should wear a jilbaab or a cloak that covers their body and this is something that she should do.

I used to perform many actions of shirk, but Allaah has guided me. Should I ask Allaah to forgive….

Q.The person is saying: I used to perform many actions of shirk, but Allaah has guided me. Should I ask Allaah to forgive me for those actions which I previously performed?

A.The shaykh (haafidhahullaah) said, you should ask Allaah, you should be diligent in asking Allaah to forgive you for those actions. But you should know that if a person makes sincere, genuine repentance then this would wipe away the actions of shirk. If a person repents from shirk with a sincere, genuine repentance this would wipe away the actions of shirk. But if you combine between asking Allaah to forgive you and making the sincere tawbah, this is better and more preferred.

Q.The questioner is asking about individuals coming together and agreeing on an amount that they pay monthly and each month one of the individuals receive that amount. In some places it is called asusu and in other places it is called something else.

A.The shaykh said yes, if these individuals agree and they pay the same amount monthly and each month they gather all of the money and it goes to one of those individuals, whether it is 100, 200, or a 1000 and all of them are pleased with this and content with this and no one is getting any type of profit or extra then he paid in total then there is no problem in them doing so. The shaykh said ((haafidhahullaahu ta’alaa) in fact this has cured many of the problems that people have with money. Because at times you have individuals who want to take a loan but they do not have anyone to borrow from. So if individuals come together and they agree on a certain amount and all of them give the same amount monthly and each month it goes to one of the individuals until the end of the specified time, then there is no problem in doing such an action.

Q.When there is a difference of opinion or when two scholars disagree on an issue, some people they take the opinion which is easier for them. What is your statement or opinion in this matter?

A.The shaykh (haafidhahullaah) said it is upon the individual when they want to ask a question it is upon them to ask what the ruling of Allaah is. What does Allaah azza wa jall rule in this matter? And if they find that they are given two different opinions, if one scholar says one opinion and another scholar says another opinion, then it becomes mandatory upon the questioner to look at the knowledge and the piety of the two individuals and they take the opinion of the one who has more knowledge and the one who has more piety. He said, verily knowledge is your religion thus it is mandatory that an individual takes his religion from individuals who are known to be reliable, known to be knowledgeable and known to be pious.

If a female is praying salaatul dhuhr at home on Friday does she have to wait until the athaan of jumu’ah or what?

Q.The questioner is asking, if a female is praying salaatul dhuhr at home on Friday does she have to wait until the athaan of jumu’ah or what?

A.The shaykh mentioned, she should wait for the time of Dhuhr to enter she should wait for the normal time of salaatul Dhuhr to enter. So if a female is praying at home she should restrict herself to the time that the salaah enters. So once the normal Dhuhr prayer enters then it becomes permissible for her to pray.
