Is it permissible for a person who is not a student of knowledge; to have a hand in given dawah, run the affair of dawah…

Q: Is it permissible for a person who is not a student of knowledge; to have a hand in given dawah, run the affairs of dawah with regards to organising lessons or seminars or preparing places and preparing for scholars and students to travel to these places or is it mandatory that he is a student of knowledge?

A: An individual who strives to do a action or to give wealth for the purpose of dawah, seeking the face of Allah (Azza wajal) then this individual falls under the hadeeth of the prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam); verily actions are by their intentions and everyone will have that which they intended. The prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) mentioned whoever prepares an individual to fight in the way of Allah; it is as if he has fought in the way of Allah and whoever takes care of the family of someone who has gone to fight in the way of Allah, it is if he has fought in the way of Allah.
There is no doubt, the greatest of actions, the supererogatory actions, the greatest of supererogatory actions is fighting in the way of Allah (Azza wajal) and if the reward for an individual who prepares someone to fight in the way of Allah or takes care of his family is as he has fought then this is tremendous reward.
With that being the case if anyone does an action or they give in charity for the purpose of dawah; then this individual has taken part in the actions of the callers themselves.

The individual is asking about one of the explanations of kitaab at-tawheed which is called fathul hammed & is printed in 4 volumes.

Q.The individual is asking about one of the explanations of kitaab at-tawheed which is called fathul hammed & is printed in 4 volumes.

A.The shaykh said this is a long book, it is a large book and the author of the book has certain aspects of deviation. He has certain affairs which he deviated in. So it is befitting that an individual instead of reading that book, instead he reads fathul mujeed and tayseeril azeezil hameed by Sulayman bin Abdullaah bin Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, the grandson of shaykh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab. A person should not read fathul hameed by shaykh Uthmaan bin Abdul Azeez at Tameemi except if he is very grounded so that he would know where that individual went astray. But if he is not grounded then he should abstain from reading that book.

What is your advice for those who belittle and degrade the committee for enjoining the good and forbidding the evil?

Q.The individual is asking, what is your advice for those who belittle and degrade the committee for enjoining the good and forbidding the evil?

A.The shaykh (hafiathullaahu ta’alaa) responded by saying those who make fun of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil then these individuals have opposed the Qur’aan and the sunnah. We find that Allaah (azza wa ja’al) has made it an obligation to enjoin the good and forbid the evil as it is present in the Qur’aan: ‘Verily you are the best of the nations that has been bought forth for the people: you enjoin Al-Maruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islaam has ordained) & forbid Al-Munkar (poythesim, disbelief and all that Islaam has forbidden) & you believe in Alllaah. And other verses where Allaah (ta’baarak ta wa ta’alaa) orders us to enjoin the good and to forbid the evil. So those individuals who speak ill of the committee of enjoining good and forbidding evil, then these individuals it is not befitting for them to do so and a person would only do so if he is upon major ignorance or if this individual has deviated from the correct beliefs. We ask Alllaah for salvation.

The individual is asking what is your advice for brothers who wear shirts, ties and suits when they have the ability to wear thobes?

Q.The individual is asking what is your advice for brothers who wear shirts, ties and suits when they have the ability to wear thobes?

A. The shaykh mentioned if that person is in a society where this is the norm in the society the wearing of ties, suits, shirts etc then it is permissible for that person to do so. But if the individual wants to pray then he should beautify himself with his clothing as Allaah tabaarakta wa ta’alaa mentions in the Qur’aan: ‘O children of Aadam, beautify yourselves at the time of prayer’. So when an individual prays he should wear the best of clothing. But if the individual for example would like to wear these suits, shirts, ties and pants because it is easier for him to perform his duties then it is permissible for him to do so. But if he begins to feel that he is imitating the disbelievers and this intention becomes apparent, that the individual starts to imitate the disbelievers then it is not permissible for him to wear this type of clothing.

Q.Yaa shaykh if the individual has the ability to wear a thobe?
A.The shaykh mentioned (hafithahullAllaahu ta’alaa) that the person if he has the ability to wear a thobe then that is befitting. But likewise the individual should try not to be different.

The individual has approached to marry a sister and the family they refused the brother because of reasons not related to religion. What is your advice?

Q.The individual is asking, the individual has approached to marry a sister and the family they refused the brother because of reasons not related to religion. What is your advice?

A.The shaykh mentioned if the father of the female has refused then she should be patient because disobedience to her father or disobedience to her mother could possibly lead to not being successful in the marriage. And it is obligatory and incumbent that the parents are obeyed except if they order with something which is disobedience or if they forbid you from performing something which is obligatory. So if the female is not capable of persuading her parents to allow the marriage then she should be patient. However, if the sister feels that her being patient is harming her in not being allowed to marry that individual, if it is harming her then she should approach the rulers and the individuals in authority so that they can possibly force the father to submit and accept the marriage.

What are the best of names….Find out here…

Q.The individual is asking, can you name yourself inayyahtullaah?

A.The shaykh mentioned the origin with regards to names is that names are permissible except that which you have a prohibition for or that which you have some sort of shirk in. These types of names; inayyatullaah, baytullaah. These names are permissible as they do not have anything which is impermissible in them nor do they have shirk. However, the best of names are those that begin with Abd (servant), for example, Abdullaah, Abdur Rahmaan, Abdul Kareem or Abdul Lateef. These are the best of names, the names that begin with Abd.

The individual is asking about drops of urine. After he urinates he has drops of urine come out.

Q.The individual is asking about drops of urine. After he urinates he has drops of urine come out.

A.The shaykh (HafithahullAllaahu ta’alaa) mentioned this breaks the wudhoo (ablution) and an individual should be diligent in performing wudhoo again. The shaykh mentioned (HafithahuAllaahu ta’alaa) that if this is the norm, meaning that he usually has these drops after he urinates so what a person should do in this case is… if he needs to urinate before he prays he does it early. He urinates early before he prays & then he makes his wudhoo. If he feels the drops before he prays then he makes the wudhoo again, as the norm is that drops of urine come after he urinates. The shaykh said before the time of prayer he should urinate and he should make wudhoo. If he feels the drops he should perform istinjaa (meaning clean himself again) & perform a new wudhoo in order that the drops of urine do not come out while he is praying. However, if the case is that he has constant coming out of urination even if he has not gone to the bathroom then that person, the ruling is that he makes wudhoo once the time of prayer has entered and he prays his nawaafil before the salaah, the obligatory prayer and the nawaafil after the salaah even if his urination has come out. Why? Because this person has a sort of disease and if he wants to pray later on in the day for example he wants to pray the Asr thereafter or Dhuhr thereafter he would do the same thing. He would perform the wudhoo he would pray his sunnah prayers before the obligatory and after it. So that is what this person should do every time it’s time to pray a new prayer that individual should make wudhoo and pray even if the drops come out.
