‘I don’t have anyone, I only have you’. Is this term considered from shirk?

Q.The questioner is asking if the parents said to their child ‘I don’t have anyone, I only have you’. Is this term considered from shirk?

A.The shaykh said if the person who said this statement intends that no one will protect me from evil and no one will provide for me except you, then this is
shirk. But if the person means no one else can assist me from the creation, no one else can assist me in this thing I would like to do or no one else can support me in this thing I would like to do except you. Or I have no one else around me, no family and the likes of that then there is no problem. But like the shaykh said if they intend no one can protect me from evil or provide for me except you, then this is shirk.
